Chartered as a New York State Bank by the New York Banking Board with FDIC insurance, deposits at the bank are FDIC-insured up to $250,000. Hanover Community Bank is the first bank of its kind on Long Island to offer "dialogue banking" to customers, with no tellers, no lines, no cash drawers and no barriers. Hanover Community Bankers will instead work intimately and directly with customers to take care of all their banking needs. As part of its launch, Hanover Community Bank will offer consumers a special introductory CD rate: for a 6 Month CD with a $500 minimum required balance, the Annual Percentage Yield (APY is 3.00%; 12 Month CD APY is 3.50%; 24 Month CD APY is 3.75%; and 60 Month CD APY is 4.00%.
